Defense is a freestanding or wall-mounted shade inspired by nautical design, crafted from stainless steel and equipped with a pivoting sail.
Whether freestanding or wall-mounted, it consists of two sails that extend over a horizontal profile in both configurations. In the self-supporting version, the horizontal profile is held by a shaped post with a satin finish and a distinctive design. This element, with its brand-new lines and innovative aesthetic quality, has been patented, earning Defense its place among the 100 most representative design objects of “Made in Italy.” Thanks to the relaxed yet decisive curve with which it holds the fabric, the freestanding Defense model redefines the world of sunshade sails, making a technical support element the defining feature of the entire product.
Thanks to specially designed base plates, Defense can be installed directly in the ground or on a mirrored, polished stainless steel plinth that reflects the surroundings, visually minimizing its footprint and ensuring seamless integration into any environment. The weighted, square base with its corresponding cover guarantees the sail’s complete stability, keeping it firmly anchored even in severe weather. Defense’s self-supporting geometry is complemented by rectangular shade sails, divided into two triangular modules that create a balanced interplay of form and material, providing rectangular shade.
For wall mounting, Defense utilizes a stainless steel tension bracket. Combining multiple sails allows for the creation of striking stylistic effects using minimalist anchoring components.
