Gas Fireplace
Romantic flames and warmth at the touch of a button: Gas fireplaces with special heating inserts are ideal lifestyle appliances.
A distinction is made between closed and open gas fireplaces: A gas fireplace offers a fire experience at the touch of a button. If you value comfort and convenience, you will be very satisfied with a gas fireplace. You don’t have to worry about firewood or its storage, and there’s no need for constant cleaning of the firebox. The fire experience is truly immersive, and most customers can hardly distinguish the flame pattern from a wood fire.
Our gas fireplaces (whether open or closed) are individually designed for you, just like our wood-burning fireplaces.
Open gas fireplaces—also called decorative gas fires—can easily be installed in low-energy and passive houses using tightly sealing air intake and exhaust dampers. The absence of a glass panel in front of the combustion chamber gives the open gas fireplace a particularly authentic look.
Gas flames, which, thanks to a precisely metered oxygen supply, have the same characteristic color as a wood fire, lick at heat-resistant imitation logs or form a “line fire” across a bed of gravel.
These devices can also be operated without problems in low-energy and passive houses with controlled ventilation.
Closed gas fireplaces achieve heating values similar to wood fireplaces, with an efficiency of around 75 percent.
The flame display starts at the touch of a button, and almost all models can be controlled with a remote control.
After ignition, the gas flame is initially a light blue, but within a few minutes, thanks to the finely tuned oxygen supply, it takes on the same characteristic yellow color as a wood fire.
