Warm-air wood-burning stove with heat storage
A warm-air wood-burning stove with heat storage – also called a combination stove – has a heat distribution of approximately 40% radiant heat and approximately 60% convection heat.
During combustion, flue gases are produced. These are directed through a heat storage unit, which absorbs and stores the heat.
To quickly heat the room, the convection vents can be opened. To achieve a longer heat release, the convection vents can be closed, and the stove will begin heating the heat storage unit.
