Storage Stoves:

This problem has been solved quite simply: heavy storage stones.
A storage stove is a fireplace made of ceramic or natural stone. The energy or heat released during wood combustion is absorbed by the ceramic storage core. After the wood has burned, this core, acting as a heat exchanger, releases the stored energy gradually into the surrounding area as radiant heat over an extended period.
A very clever solution comes from the Swiss company Tonwerk Lausen – they build their stoves entirely as solid structures while maintaining a simple and very modern design. A rotating base allows the stove to be positioned to view the fire from different seating positions.
